Breakfast on the terrace at Lou Messugo is one of the great joys of a stay here. The south-facing sun-trap is warm and sunny all year round making it perfect for lazy breakfasts/brunches. The boulangerie is only a 15 minute stroll, 10 minute fast walk, 5 minute run or 2 minute drive away, depending on just how fast you want to get supplies!
It’s a lovely walk and if you go by the power of your own feet you can then justify eating even more delicious flaky pastries!! (Just saying).
We are lucky to have an award-winning boulangerie in the centre of town and another one, almost as good, a slightly further walk away. Between them the choice is amazing. The second one is open every day of the year until 8pm. Pretty impressive for a small French town.
What’s your favourite French pastry?
