It goes up and down in popularity John. Last year I couldn’t for the life of me find anywhere decorated to take a photo of whereas this year there were decorations and parties everywhere, including the local swimming pool! Take a look at this post I wrote last year to understand a bit more about French attitudes to Halloween, but you’re pretty spot on, in general it’s not commonly celebrated. https://loumessugo.com/halloween-in-france
Interesting. So Les Francais are embracing Halloween are they? Personally I’m not a fan, but apparently the French used to rebel against it claiming it was American Imperialism. Until, that is, they realised they could claim it as a Celtic tradition! #MySundayPhoto

Ha ha – I like this. We did absolutely nothing for Halloween this year as we only just got back from the UK … plus with a temperature yesterday afternoon of 20ºC whilst I was mowing the grass it felt more like summer that Halloween. Hope you had fun and enjoy our Sunday Bank Holiday!

That’s the sort of temperature we always have for Halloween in the south Rosie, I’m used to it now and don’t expect cold weather anymore!!
It’s certainly bigger this year in France than previous years. Very strange how it goes up and down in popularity.

It says “Ferme d’Auguste and Marie” and of course French birds can read!
I’ve tried but failed to read the inscription on the fine nesting box. Can French birds read?
What a great way to get a picture of Halloween, Clio lending a helping hand for Coombe Mill
