All About France is a monthly blog link up that is pretty self-explanatory – it links up blog posts all about France! Readers, this means you have a wide range of stories about France to enjoy and bloggers, this means you have a place to highlight anything you’ve written that touches on a France/French theme. I hope you all enjoy it.
So without further ado welcome to the second #AllAboutFrance blog link-up. I was completely gobsmacked delighted with the response to the first one – huge thank yous, merci, to everyone who joined in. I really enjoyed reading all of your posts and seeing what a great variety of things you all blog about….
There was everything from how to talk to Muslim children about Charlie Hebdo and snow-shoeing in the southern Alps to how French treat their dogs and memories of childhood in France. And plenty, plenty more (48 links!) Unsurprisingly there were several posts about Paris, but also about Alsace, Aveyron, Tarn-et-Garonne, Brittany, Charente-Maritime, Nice, St-Emilion and the Loire Valley. We had bloggers from USA, France, UK, Ukraine, Germany, Holland, Australia and Canada. (Shout if I left someone out!) It’s very hard to pick favourites but if push came to shove I’d have to say car park discoveries and butchering techniques (for their originality) and visiting St Emilion (for its beautiful photographs) stood out.
In the first link-up I didn’t specify numbers of posts per blog, and I was pleased some of you wanted to link up several posts at once, but from now on I’d like to limit it to 2 per blog maximum and preferably only one as that way you’ll always have more for future sessions! As always, please add my linky badge so that people can navigate back to the link up easily.
In the past couple of weeks since the last link-up we’ve been busy exploring a new area of France with a visit to Narbonne and surrounding area in the Aude département (new for the whole family) and enjoying Nice Carnival and the Menton lemon festival. The photos here are just a little taster, full posts coming soon….it’s school holidays at the moment which is never the easiest time for me to write.
Please don’t forget that as with all blog link ups they work best when the love is shared around, so please read and comment on as many of the other posts linked up as you can! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #AllAboutFrance when sharing on social media and I will retweet tweets with it or if you mention me (@FibiTee). Full details of the link-up can be found here

Very chuffed indeed Rosie…let’s hope N° 3 is as successful! 🙂
Hello Beesley Buzz, yes they’re oranges and lemons at a lemon festival, which you can read all about if you’re interested by clicking on the link in the article to Menton Lemon Festival
You must be soooo pleased to see the linky doing really well … and I am enjoying reading as many blogs as I can between gardening, the animals, the boys and a bit of blogging myself! Vive la France and all she has to offer everyone 🙂
those photos are incredible – Are those all oranges? theres loads of them – how clever.
Thank you Louise, I’m glad you made it. 😀
Hi Phoebe, I managed to join in! I was trying to join with #1 which is why it was full, it took me a little while to find #2, but heh, we got there. Can’t wait to check out all the fabulous links. Your lemon photos are incredible. So much more to France than we all know.
hello
I’ll send you an email with instructions… 🙂
Hello Phoebe,
Cool looking game!… but how does it work? That badgy thing written in code looks like it could bite people like me who are total planks in technology. Pleeeeeease Heeeeeelp (as Lilo Dallas said).
Thank you Rosie, too kind! 🙂
Make it a date Corinne, stay at Lou Messugo and we’ll go together!
Good idea Menai and it’s so easy from Kent! I know a perfect place for a child-friendly family holiday in the south….Lou Messugo of course!
I’m so pleased Mel 🙂
xin chà  o Thien Lan! (Just using the little Vietnamese I remember!!) I don’t review your blog, you have to link it up yourself using the little blue button which says “add your link” under all the other linked blogs. I’ll try and find your email address to send you a PM with instructions.
Hi Phoebe
love you story and enthusiasm!
sorry I’m new at this but where do I send the link to my blog post about France for you to review and feature?
I too am loving the link up, Phoebe, and well done for having so many people link up. I can see this going from strength to strength which is wonderful for all of us who live in and/or love France 🙂
Phoebe, I really, really want to go to the lemon festival someday…maybe 2016!
Ha! I am up early every morning during the week, as early as 5:30 am but sometimes just 6:45, depending on my work schedule.
I love lemon desserts (one of the few desserts I really like) and anything lemony, so this now doubly sounds like a festival for me!
Glad to be joining in again. I think I will be trawling my archives for visits to France to persuade my husband that we need to travel there again soon!
Phoebe, I just wanted to say I absolutely love your new Linky! It is so refreshing reading post after post about my beautiful country! It is all positive, happy, and I had not come across any of the bloggers I read today. I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of #AllAboutFrance! x
I don’t know how you missed it, but I’m sorry you did. I was so happy with the response – 48 linkers!!! Thanks for the feedback on the badge, I had fun making it with my kids’ sports facepaints (for supporting France of course) and my lips! 🙂
Thanks for reminding me, lovely. How did I miss the first one! I love your badge, it’s just perfect!
Great Jess, that’s what I hoped when I set this up. If ever you write about your french obsession/review any of those books etc please do link up!
Pleasure Elena! Your photos were lovely. At the end of the fête any fruit that is still OK is sold off cheap so I guess a LOT of lemonade is made!!!
It’s a pleasure Sara; I’m really enjoying hosting this linky and getting to know all these lovely blogs!
love the idea behind this linkup! i’m a bit obsessed with everything french (just finished books on french style and french parenting!), so it will be fun to peruse these links!:-)
Phoebe, thanks for highlighting my post from last week 🙂 Guess, I got a couple more people convinced to got to Colmar!
And just read your post about the Lemon Carnival in Menton. Had no idea they do it in Feb! Those sculptures look mind-boggling! How much lemonade do they make after it’s all over? 🙂
There are lemon-based products for sale particularly Limoncello and other citrus-based liquers and sirops. I also saw lemon cake, lemon tea, citronnade and lemon soaps. But above all there are loads of citrus fruit for sale including unusual ones such as cédrat and bergamot. Thaks for linking up again Betty. You were up early this morning!! 🙂
Thank you for joining in Esme, I fixed your photo for you. I look forward to reading more from you.
Thank you so much for the shout-out! I’m so glad you enjoyed my St. Emilion post 🙂
And thank you for organizing this link-up! I really enjoyed reading all the different posts on France and being introduced to new blogs. What a successful first link-up!
Thank you for inviting me-I had some difficulty obviously uploading my photo. I look
forward to participating in this meme regularly. Bonsoir.
I’ve always been fascinated by even the concept of the Menton Lemon Festival. It looks so colorful as things are so dreary here. Do they serve lots of lemon-based food?
Thanks again for organizing this. I’m looking forward to the new posts, and will try to keep on top of them (last time I was a little late to the game.)
